Amber Bill has over 24 years experience in conservation work, including open space and parks management, biodiversity and environmental policy development, and community engagement. Amber has a post graduate diploma in ecology, a BSc in ecology, and a BA in psychology. 2017, Amber worked at Ministry for the Environment – Manatū Mō Te Taiao as Manager Land & Air Policy, Resource Management Directorate. Amber will now carry on her passion for New Zealand’s environment on a national level joining the Department of Conservation where she is now Director of Threats - Kaihautū, Āo Mōrearea.
With over 26 years experience in digital design and photography, Tony is a published illustrator and worked as a corporate senior designer for many years. human+nature predator traps are funded by sales from Tony's prints, available for purchase from our online store. Tony also runs Kererū Discovery a non-profit conservation project set up to help with the protection and education for one of New Zealand's most important endemic birds.
How we came to be
human+nature came about when Tony and Amber moved into a cottage in the bush and fell in love with the local wildlife. human+nature is the name of our small community conservation group. Our name recognises the importance of reconnecting with nature, particularly in a rapidly urbanising world.
